I updated the sample translations for volume 10 chapter 2. The Nonaka’s finally get the opportunity to fight without any nerfs due to being in the human world. You really get an idea of how far the girls have come in terms of their combat capabilities since volume 7. I’m hoping S3 happens, because it would be a treat to see these battles animated.

I updated the sample translation for volume 10 chapter 3. If you ever wondered how Mio and company found out about Basara and Chisato’s relationship give it a read. Unfortunately the sample cuts off right before Basara’s nightmare, which is one of the most powerful scenes in the series, and puts his character in perspective. If Shinmai gets an S3, I would trade sex scenes and lewd BD specials, if the anime went with a nightmare scenario ending.
I originally intended to purchase the physical edition of “The Sneaker” back during the end of last month. However I started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and forgot all about making my preorder. When I went to try and preorder they were sold out on Amazon Japan, and I felt terrible. The good news is that Sneaker Bunko decided to release it digitally on Bookwalker. This was a great move for people such as myself that missed out on the first wave of the physical edition.
Shinmai appears a few times in the magazine. The most interesting appearance being some of the editors talking about Sneaker Bunko’s Ero Light novels and their future with new writers. Uesu’s contribution to the Sneaker came at the end. It’s more or less a reflection on the success of Shinmai as well as his well wishes for Sneaker Bunko. The only thing of any real note is that he tells fans to look forward to Volume 13 of Shinmai which will release early next year.
Anyways I’m a big fan of the Sneaker Bunko 30th anniversary Illustration. I like how all of the top selling Sneaker Bunko series were placed next to each other. It was a nice seeing Mio next to Harui, Deedlit, and Aqua.
I’ve been fairly busy as of late, so apologies for not posting any updates on the site recently. The plan for this month has been to finish the remainder of volume 11. Nomi translated the prologue last year. Jhunius is planning on finishing up the remainder of the volume by the end of the month. With that, the translations for the main series through volume 12 will be finished in December. I have sample translations to update for the remainder of volume 10, as well as manga related things, and Shinmai stuff from The Sneaker to post later this week as well.
For those of you that are into the Shinmai manga, You should pick up volume 4 of Storm which released this week. Volume 4 does a really good job adapting the first 2 chapters of volume 8 of the light novel. In my opinion, it’s pretty close to almost being a 1:1 adaptation. It would have been interesting to see the way Fumi would have adapted it, Either way, volume 4 is pretty funny for all of the crazy Maria reaction faces.

As some of you might be aware, a draft version of volume 9 leaked out. This version is incomplete. Some parts were translated 2 years ago back when we first started the translation project. They never went through the final editing process.
A good friend of mine that purchased the physical version of Overdone Devil Exterminator, sent me this advertisement that wasn’t included in the electronic version. As Uesu said in the volume 12 afterword, this volume should serve as the final volume of Shinmai for real this time.
Possible content: Once the page count for volume 13 comes out, I’ll be able to provide a much more accurate idea as to possible content, but based upon what Uesu has said in the volume 11 and 12 afterwords. This volume might possibly include the three EX volumes and the Jin story featuring the Divine Realm that got too big to be included with volume 12.
I posted the sample translation on the site earlier today. Nomi will be starting the translation for chapter 2 soon, while Jhunius is currently working on chapter 3. We’re still on pace to have the volume finished by the end of this month. I’ll be adding the illustrations into the PDF for donors later tonight.
